The ais model is part of Buddy Optical's p (piano) collection. With each model named in reference to a musical scale, the collection has slightly different expressions with each scale - their hope is that you find your "best sound."
Featuring a unique, octagonal lens shape and extended temples, ais alludes to a style of glasses made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, most noticeably with its saddle bridge (or in Japanese, "ichiyama") that sits directly on the nose.
